American roulette game rules - Star Gambling

If someone thinks that roulette is a monotonous game, then this judgment is somewhat subjective.

Today Star Gambling will tell you about the features of the popular type of modern roulette called American Roulette.

At the beginning of the game, the croupier sends a ball to a spinning wheel with 38 numbers. The goal of the gameplay is to guess which of the 38 numbers the ball will land on.


It's hard to imagine, but in 2012, in one of the Las Vegas gambling establishments, the number 19 appeared on the wheel 7 times in a row. According to the theory of probability, the chance of such a coincidence is 1 in 3,000,000,000.

The wheel is divided into 38 equal sectors (slots) numbered from 0, 00, 1 to 36 inclusive. A standard game wheel is labeled with numbers out of order or randomly. On the contrary, the numbers are placed so as to achieve the necessary balance between large (in the range of 18-36) and small (from 1 to 18) numbers, as well as even, odd numbers and numbers in red, black.


Among the features of the wheel, it should be noted:

•     alternation of red and black numbers;
•     succession of two even numbers after two odd ones;
•     each odd number is opposite the even number following it;
•     all red numbers are opposite the black ones;
•     most of the digits are a pair with another number in between. The total amount of a pair is 37 or 39.

Only zero and double zero are colored green. The remaining 36 numbers are red and black. The numbers are shown on the inner circumference of the wheel.

Game table

The playing field resembles European roulette, but it also has an additional field for 00. The participant can bet on:

•     specific number;
•     a combination of numbers;
•     even or odd, red or black.
