SugarHouse Online is a legal betting site and mobile app available to users over the age of 21 in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

SugarHouse Online Casino opened in late 2016 as a result of a partnership between Rush Street Interactive and Golden Nugget Casino in Atlantic City. The unique name comes from the casino of that name, located in Pennsylvania and operated by the parent company Rush Street Gaming.

About a year and a half later, SugarHouse Online Sportsbook launched a betting site, iOS app, and Android app. In August 2018, the New Jersey Gambling Enforcement Administration (NJDGE) signed with SugarHouse sports betting, becoming the third mobile bookmaker in New Jersey.

Shortly after the launch of online betting in New Jersey, SugarHouse Sportsbook made the decision to sever ties with Golden Nugget and move its license to Monmouth Park due to Golden Nugget being unable to offer NBA betting. SugarHouse Casino remains with Golden Nugget, but the bookmaker is now associated with Monmouth Park and can now place NBA bets online.

In May 2019, SugarHouse entered the Pennsylvania market and became the first legal mobile betting app in the state.
