January 25th Teerth of Teerths Prayag Raj Eastern Part of Uttar Pradesh

When I started on 23rd morning at 07:00 AM it was unkown to me how big is area of Mahakumbh City and what will be traffic directions. Also what time it takes to reach Prayagraj from Delhi by a Car. I started at 07:00 AM from Delhi-NCR and after few stops for Lunch and Tea we entered Prayagraj City at around 08:30 PM of 23rd. Indeed Prayagraj City has developed and looks like a Metro but due to organizing of “Mahakumbh 2025” there is huge restrictions on Traffic.

Barricades have come in place 100s of diversions and heavy traffic. Even with a Press Pass of Foreign Media person and Mahakumbh Pass it took good 04:30 hours to reach at Foreign Media Guest house inside Mahakumbh Nagar.Since we were dependent on “Live Map’ provided by officials and kept roaming from one corner of city to Ganga Paar and then again inside Mahakumbh Nagar. Some how we reached at “International Media Center” but then a Policeman told us about where was “Foreign Media Guest House” and we reached at 0:30 AM of 24th. The Swiss Crew had already arrived there by flight and had gone to sleep after waiting for full four hours. I also went for a sleep and then we met at pantry of Foreign Media Guest House at 8:30 AM of 24th. She was aready there waiting for me and then as She had already provided me 12 tasks of interviews we headed towards sector 17/18/19/20 and 21. We met any people from Nath Sampraday/Vivekanand Pratishthanam /Home Maker/Shop Owners/ Naga Sadhus and Aghoris and came towards the River front from other side. The Confluence of three rivers Ganges/Yamuna and Mystic Sarswati was still across the Ganges where we needed to cross the bridge on Ganges to go towards “Sangam”. Me and my colleagues interviewed nearly 50 Persons in one single day and reached on the other side of the Bridge around 06:30 PM. We kept walking along side river and reached at the Confluence around 7:00 PM . As a Hindu (Brahmin) I decided to take three deep dips on Confluence of River Ma Ganga/Ma Yamuna and Mystic Sarswati) while as my colleague Maren decided not to take bath. I took three Spiritual dips and lit essence and floated flowers and erthern lamp in the river. I came out of River in bare  Dhoti Janeu and Rudraksh around my neck. I wore my cloths and then my colleague took few more interviewes and we headed towards Foreign Media Guest House. We would have sipped nearly 50 cups of teas and avoided eating any thing. The beauty of this assignment was that we walked whole day starting from Foreign Media Guest House to Sect 16-23 by crossing the Bridge (Including meting with Naga Sadhus) to sangam of river on that side and then returning back with and Ants speed to this side of Confluence after crossing the Bridge again. After taking Bath on Confluence and few interviews more we walked again towards Triveni Marg barefeet talking to all who had come to take bath to avoid the heavy crowd during “Mauni Amawasya Bath” (It’s expected some 15-20 Crores of devotees  and Sadhus will take bath on 29th of January). In  mid way we enjoyed snacks and tea and then reached at Foreign Media Guest House where Shri Akhilesh Kumar Mishra the DIO was awating for us. Currently DIO Jaunpur and Information Incharge of Deputy Chief Minister Shri Brajesh Pathak-t Akhilesh Kumar Tripathi is incharge of Foreign Media Guest house. In mid way we ate 14 Pooris with Sabzi after the bath as we were hungry enough and then again took our dinner at 11:00 PM. Me and Maren talked on religion/Hindu Faith/ Politics and what not and we went to our respective Cottages after Dinner. Maren has flight at 07:00 AM of 25th and I have other assignments to do.

It’s a fact that Yogi Aditya Nath Govt has put tremendous efforts ino rganizing the Mahakumbh 2025 and he has blessings of Narendra Modi. The Police The DIO’s the Administration and Para Military forces from BSF all have put herclulean effort and every one coming to Mahakumbh-2025 must thank both the leaders while Administartion and Media both are prepared for 2nd and perhaps largest bath of “Mauni Amawasya” falling on 29th of January. If you miss Mahakumbh 2025 you miss some thing for whole of your life. I must say it’s best organized Mahakumbh so far. The cleanliness staying facility fooding arrangements everything is at par except the fact that one should be ready to walk 10-15 kms to witness this Largest Spiritual Extravaganza on Earth.

Over 10 crore devotees are expected to take a holy dip at the Sangam in Prayagraj on this significant day.

To manage the massive influx of pilgrims, the Prayagraj Railway Division has devised a special plan. An additional holding area has been set up outside the railway station at Khusro Bagh to facilitate crowd management. The Railway Protection Force (RPF) and the civil police have collaborated to ensure smooth mob channelization, enhancing safety and convenience for the devotees.

Considering the massive crowd, the Mela administration and railway authorities have made robust arrangements. A holding area has been set up at Khusro Bagh, near the railway station, to manage the influx of devotees and provide them with rest. This facility can accommodate over 1 lakh people at a time.

In addition to the Khusro Bagh holding area, the RPF and civil police have devised a special plan for crowd management on Mauni Amavasya. Senior PRO Amit Malviya explained that devotees returning from the fair will be redirected to the Khusro Bagh holding area before entering the station premises.

From there, passengers will be guided to color-coded shelters at the railway station based on their destination. These shelters are designed to organize travelers effectively, ensuring they board the correct trains using color-coded tickets. This system aims to prevent confusion and stampedes, allowing devotees to safely reach their destinations.

The additional holding area outside the station has been constructed specifically to manage the extra crowd pressure outside the station premises, ensuring smooth and safe operations. ‘Sadhuon Ke Mann Ki Baat’ to be held at Mahakumbh in Prayagraj
